Policy on the Prevention of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Psychoactive Substance Use in the Workplace and Road Safety

OBJECTIVE

To establish corporate guidelines aimed at preventing the use of tobacco, alcohol, and psychoactive substances in the workplace, promoting safe, healthy, and productive work environments, in alignment with the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SG-SST) and the Strategic Road Safety Plan (PESV).

This policy seeks to protect the physical and mental integrity of employees and other stakeholders, as well as to preserve the operational and reputational security of the organization.

SCOPE

Applies to all Kreston Colombia stakeholders. (Shareholders, Senior Management, employees, suppliers, contractors, clients, and visitors), as well as all offices and operations nationwide.

It is mandatory during:

  • Working hours.•Corporate activities inside or outside the facilities.
  • Work-related travel.
  • Operation of company-owned, contracted, or organization-serviced vehicles.

POLICY DESCRIPTION

The use of tobacco, alcohol, and psychoactive substances constitutes a risk factor that affects work performance, increases the likelihood of workplace accidents, deteriorates the organizational environment, and compromises road safety and public health.

In alignment with current Colombian regulations, the SG-SST, and the PESV, Kreston Colombia adopts a zero-tolerance policy for alcohol and psychoactive substance use during work activities and work-related travel.

The organization promotes healthy habits and lifestyles, fostering a culture of self-care, responsibility, and risk prevention.

Therefore, with the aim of improving work performance and promoting healthy habits and lifestyles, and taking into account the provisions of Colombian legislation, the following parameters are established:
